ABOUT ME

Hi I am Başak, (pronounced Bashak). I am a member of Australian Psychological Society. I am based in Melbourne, Australia. I am practicing as an Anat Baniel Method® NeuroMovement® practitioner and a qualified Cogmed Coach in here.

After completing my Psychology Degree in Turkey, I moved to the USA to take up a pre-doctoral fellowship from the Yale University Child Study Center. It was there that my love and fascination for children was ignited.

I ran my inclusive preschool in Istanbul for 14 years. Witnessing and contributing to the growth of a child has always been fascinating to me.

At my school, I had the chance to observe two of my students (one with cerebral palsy, one with a neurological condition) who have gained significantly different outcomes from a method that at the time I did not know about. When I wanted to learn more about the method, I immediately fell in love with the shift of understanding how to look and work with children and also with everyone who needs to do better in life.

After reading the book Kids Beyond Limits by Anat Baniel, I enrolled myself to the training to become an Anat Baniel Method® NeuroMovement® practitioner.

I completed ABM® NM® Basic Training on May 2017. I continued the training with the mastery programs and certified to work with Children With Special Needs (March 2018) and also Vitality and Anti-Aging (November 2018). High Performers (March 2019).

For me, realizing the brain is capable of changing for better at any age and at any condition, and every person has the potential for improvement, opened up a whole new world. Now I see the possibilities rather than the limitations in everyone and every situation. My passion is helping people reach their highest potential including my loved ones and myself..
